Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Locumr mobile application ("App"), provided by [Your Company Name] ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using Locumr, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.


1. Eligibility

To use Locumr, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Work in pharmacy as a pharmacist, pharmacy technician, or dispenser, and use the App for professional or business purposes (for example, as a locum or sole trader)

  • Agree to comply with these Terms and our Privacy Policy


2. App Description

Locumr allows locum pharmacy professionals to:

  • Track shifts, work hours, and income

  • Record business expenses

  • Generate professional invoices

  • Estimate tax obligations

  • View Rate Insights: aggregated statistics on shift rates, which may be broken down by job role, region, and month

  • Compare their own logged shifts against Rate Insights figures (Premium feature)

  • The App stores your data securely using Google Firebase and Google Cloud and allows login via Google, Apple, or email.


3. Account and Security

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information, including your job role

  • Keeping your login credentials secure

  • All activity under your account

 

We are not liable for unauthorised access resulting from your failure to protect login information.


4. User Data and Content

You retain ownership of the data you enter into Locumr. You grant us a limited licence to use, store, and process it to provide the App's features. This includes using your shift data to produce aggregated Rate Insights statistics, as described in our Privacy Policy. We publish only aggregated figures, never your individual shifts or rates.

 

You must not upload:

  • False or misleading information, including deliberately inaccurate shift rates

  • Personal data of others without consent

  • Malicious content or code


5. Subscription and Payments

Some features, including personal rate comparison, require a paid Premium subscription. Where applicable:

  • Prices and billing cycles will be clearly stated in-app before you subscribe

  • Subscriptions are billed and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store

  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period

  • You may cancel at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google in line with their policies


6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or interfere with the App

  • Attempt to extract, scrape, or re-identify individual users' data from Rate Insights

  • Violate applicable tax laws or use the App to conceal income or expenses


7. Disclaimer

The App provides estimates only and does not constitute legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. We recommend consulting a qualified professional for personalised tax support.

Rate Insights are general statistics based on shifts logged by users of the App. They may not reflect the full market or rates available to you, and are provided for information only. They are not a recommendation of what rate to charge or accept.

 

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, uptime, or compatibility with all devices.


8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Loss of data

  • Inaccurate tax, invoice, or Rate Insights figures

  • Decisions you make based on information in the App

  • Indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the App

 

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.


9. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or delete your account if you violate these Terms. On deletion, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.


10. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated in the App or by email before they take effect. If you continue to use the App after changes take effect, the revised Terms will apply. If you do not agree, you should stop using the App and may delete your account.


11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
