  • Name and email address (via Google, Apple, or email login)

  • Authentication data managed securely via Firebase Authentication

b. Shift and Expense Data

  • Details of work shifts (e.g., dates, hours, general location, rates)

  • Expense records (e.g., accommodation, purchases, receipts)

c. Financial and Tax Data

  • Income estimates, hourly rates, and expense totals used for invoice generation and tax estimation

d. Technical Data

  • Device type, operating system, app version, and basic usage analytics

2. Lawful Basis for Processing

Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:

  • Contractual necessity (Article 6(1)(b)):
    To provide core app functionality such as shift tracking, invoicing, and tax estimation

  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)):
    To improve the app, ensure security, and develop features using anonymised data
    (we ensure this does not override your rights and freedoms)

  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)):
    For optional communications (e.g., updates, marketing emails), where you have explicitly opted in

  • Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)):
    Where processing is required to comply with applicable laws

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal data to:

  • Provide and maintain the Locumr app

  • Store and manage your shift and expense records

  • Generate invoices and tax estimates

  • Authenticate users securely

  • Improve performance, features, and user experience

  • Produce anonymised and aggregated statistical information (e.g., averages, ranges, and trends) that may be displayed within the app. This information does not identify any individual user.

  • Communicate with you where you have consented

4. Anonymised and Aggregated Data

We may process shift and financial data to generate anonymised and aggregated statistics for display within the app.

  • This data is fully anonymised and cannot be used to identify you

  • It is combined with data from multiple users

  • It is used solely to provide general statistical information within the app and to improve the service

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share your data only:

  • With trusted service providers (e.g., Google Firebase) acting as data processors under contract

  • Where required by law or regulatory obligation

  • With your explicit consent

All third-party processors are required to process data in accordance with UK GDPR.

6. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers (e.g., Google Firebase) may process data outside the UK.

Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as:

  • UK-approved Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)

  • Adequacy regulations where applicable
